DRIVESAFE aim to lower speeds & change driver attitude by using a variety of methods, including engineering, enforcement & education.  Most of our education is sent out via wide scale outdoor publicity campaigns. The media types are chosen carefully to make sure they are hitting the correct target audience at the right time, therefore getting the best results.  Here are a few of our campaigns, launched this year.

In 2003 the Department of Transport gave the ten Local Authorities in the Greater Manchester county the go ahead to join up with the Her Majesty's Courts Service, the Highways Agency, The Crown Prosecution Service, Manchester Primary Care Trust, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and Greater Manchester Police to form the Casualty Reduction Partnership. Statistics show speed contributes to thousands of road deaths each year. DRIVESAFE's aim is to educate drivers of the dangers of using excessive speeds.
