Exceptional Sites are locations which are of a concern to the local community. These sites may not have an accident history, but have a significant speeding problem to warrant enforcement before accidents happen.

All our Execptional Sites are enforced using mobile equipment.

Safety camera enforcement is operated at locations put forward by local highways authorities, since it is the local highway authority who is responsible for the road network. If you have a concern about speeding in your area, you should address the local highway authority.

The authority will be able to discuss the options with you, and it will be their decision whether or not the location should be put forward for enforcement. Accident and speed data will be analysed to support the authority's decision.
